experience as a former
lawmaker, Mufutau Egberongbe
has warned that the youths in
Nigeria will continue to face
hardships as long as efforts are
not made to revive the teaching
of history as subject in schools,
The government needs to revive
history in schools, according to
Egberongbe
Egberongbe, a former member
of the Lagos state House of
Assembly and now special
assistant to Speaker Mudashiru
Obasa on political and
legislative matters, said the
removal of history from school
curricular was a major problem
hindering efforts to unify the
country.
Speaking with NAIJ.com,
Egberongbe said most of the
challenges in the country have
their roots from lack of
knowledge of Nigeria’s history.
